The landmark Dubai Frame, which has been in the making since 2013, will finally open its doors to the public in November this year.
Top officials said it will use a paperless ticketing system, where visitors will be able to purchase and present their passes using their smartphones.
Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, clarified that the project was delayed because of a change in the cladding.
The 150 metre-high, 193 metre-long project will now feature a glass bridge clad in golden stainless steel.
Lootah explains that all materials used to meet fire safety requirements.
