Howzat – A Play for Dubai

On the Palm Jumeirah, an Indian and a Greek move next door to a Pakistani couple. They realise the separating wall in their backyard has fallen, leaving the two homes without a distinct boundary. So begins the new production Howzat, the first play written locally which is based on contemporary Dubai. During the play, themes of historic bias, conflict, secrets, and rivalries are explored, and (hopefully) resolved.

Whether you’re a long-time resident or you’ve recently arrived to this diverse Emirate, you will surely relate to the play’s protagonists as they bridge cultural divides. The performance is completely in English, and takes place at The Junction in Al Serkal Avenue.
