Ghalib in New Delhi’ is a play about an Urdu poet of long ago, Mirza Ghalib. While the poet himself was very real, the plot of the play was creatively conjured up by the writer/director/lead actor of the play, Dr. M. Sayeed Alam.

The story takes the audience on a hilarious ride of what it would be like if Ghalib returned to present day Delhi to discover that his life’s work has become famous after his death, while he navigates the culture shock of a new era.

The play, performed by Pierrot’s Troupe, has seen success in many theatres, and promises to have the audience laughing non-stop.
